The iPinPoint application has been utilized within the Columbia Public Schools in Columbia, Missouri, where students employ it to measure angles on photographs taken around the school campus. In the context of clinical measurement, iPinPoint has been used for assessing Hallux Valgus Angles. Research indicates that "...one smartphone application (iPinPoint) was reliable for measurements of the hallux valgus angles by either experienced or inexperienced observers." The relevant study is available at <a href="https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28231958/">this link</a>.

An upgrade to the Pro version of iPinPoint is available, which includes additional functionalities such as the zoom feature and project creation capabilities.

With iPinPoint, users can leverage either the built-in camera or GPS capabilities to:
<ol>
<li>Calculate the magnitude of an angle or the length of an object</li>
<li>Simultaneously measure the lengths of multiple objects</li>
<li>Determine the radius, area, and perimeter of circles</li>
<li>Compute the area and perimeter of triangles</li>
<li>Calculate various angles relevant in orthopedics, including Cobb, Baumann, and Humerotrochlear angles</li>
</ol>

iPinPoint is designed as an intuitive tool for measuring angles and object dimensions. By utilizing the iPhone camera, users can accurately identify the measurements of their objects of interest. The application provides outputs such as angle size, object length, circle radius/area/perimeter, and triangle area/perimeter.
